Awesome Purchase

| This was an awesome purchase!! My husband was looking at this watch while we were in Las Vegas at a jewelry store that was way over priced. I convinced him not to make the investment. When we got home he talked about it nonstop. I searched all over the internet for this watch and finally found it for a fraction of the price on amazon. I didnt tell my husband and just ordered it. A couple days later (literally) it showed up at our door and my husband was floored. He was looking at the all black one in Vegas and I got him the gunmetal one. He loves it even more than the black one. I fully recommend this watch. My husband is a big guy and can pull off a big watch. You can dress it up or wear it casual. Unfortunately I think I just started a fire and we may end up with many more of these great watches! |
Cool watch, bad support

When I received this watch and I tried the stopwatch function, I thought it may be broken because the 1/10 sec counter hand would not move and the center stop-second hand would not return to its 0 position when the stopwatch was reset. Trying to correct the misalignment using the procedure explained at pages 26-27 of the manual didn't work either.
Trying to get support from Invicta was a waste of time. There is no way you can get in touch with a human being to ask questions. You can only register the warranty and file a service case. First problem, the on-line form doesn't have enough space to explain an issue different from the predefined ones. Second, filing a case will only allow you to mail the watch to Invicta for repair at your own expenses and taking 6-8 weeks, which is absurd when you only need to ask for instructions!
I have since learned that the 1/10 counter is only supposed to move when the stopwatch is stopped not while it is running, even though this behavior is not specified in the manual.
I also figured out that the manual is completely wrong about the corrective move and the procedure is quite different:
- when the crown is in position 1 (date setting), you can adjust the minute counter hand using the A button and the stop-second hand using the B button
- when the crown is in position 2 (time setting), you can adjust the 1/10 sec counter hand using the A button
No need to activate the corrective mode in position 2 pressing both buttons for 2 seconds or to press the B button to change hand. The stop-second hand also does not rotate since there is no activation.
So in the end, 5 stars for the watch and 2 stars for Invicta.
The watch itself is lighter on the wrist than you would expect from a watch this chunky. The rubber strap is wide but not too long (so there is almost none sticking out) and the watch actually wears smaller than it looks. It also sit comfortably on the wrist so even people with wrists under 7" can wear it if they enjoy big watches. You can even sleep wearing it without any discomfort. |

| TODO BIEN AUNQUE UN POCO PESADO, HASTA QUE TE ACOSTUMBRAS. PERO POR EL BAJO PRECIO CREO QUE FUE UNA BUENA COMPRA. |

| Be careful when you buy an Invicta watch. I purchased this watch in Oct 2009 and had to send it to invicta for repair within two months. Let me tell you that their customer service is horrible. So if you do decide to buy this watch, just know you have been warned. I am still waiting to get my watch back and at this point I just want my money back. I will never recommend the Invicta brand to anyone. |
