Beautiful Watch

Review Date: October 25, 2008
Reviewer: Darin Hyatt, Elk Grove, CA USA
I own and have seen/handled several expensive watches from $5k to $35$ in price. This one really does look like it belongs in that group based on just looking at it. The quality, packaging, etc is also reflective of a watch that costs a great deal more. The only real differences I see from the Rolexes and Omegas is the weight and feel of the watch when you handle it, and very minor workmanship touches that you have to closely inspect to see(you really have to be looking for them and inspect closely). And, of course for the price of this watch, if you are dissapointed by that, then you are probably going to be disappointed by any watch that doesn't come with a price tag in the thousands. If you are looking for an absolutely beatiful watch that is well made, looks like the expensive swiss made watches, and generally has the quality of a much more expensive watch, then you have found it. For the price they are selling these for, you absolutely cannot go wrong.

Well, less than a month after receiving this watch, I find that I have to edit the review. The watch stopped working. I mailed it back for a refund. I researched if Invicta had a problem with quality a little deeper and didn't find a huge number of complaints, but found enough to be of concern. I am still debating if I will just call this very bad luck and give Invicta another shot or not.
Incredible value

Everything about this purchase and this watch has been beyond my expectations. Not only does this watch look and perform very well, the price was fantastic. I received immediate follow ups when I purchased and when it shipped. It was packaged very well and I'm actually going to purchase another watch as a gift for someone from this same Amazon vendor.
Good Service

I bought this watch around 2000-01 and never had a problem with it. Looks and feels like a watch that should be much more expensive. Keeps good time. The reason for this review is to inform others of my experience with invicta customer service. Over the years I have requested and received a couple of replacement spring pins without any hassle. A while back a spring pin failed and the watch fell off my wrist and hit the concrete and quit working. Obviously a good shock. I recently sent it in to invicta explaining what had happened. Other than it not running, the watch did not show any signs of damage. Now I have read some reviews of invicta's customer service stating how terrible their service was. It's necessary to understand that not all people have the same experience. I sent my watch in with the 25 dollar money order for return shipping and then waited for someone to contact me with what the problem was and the charge to fix it. I just received the watch back. My watch came back in the same condition it was when I mailed it off with the exception that it now works.Whoo..Hooo!. There was no charge for whatever the repair was. This is a 9-10yr old watch which is no longer under warranty. The only thing Invicta could do better at in my opinion is communicate. In all my dealings with Invicta, I have never had any direct communications with an actual person. I have read that other's have, good and bad. Overall I am satisfied. I also have 3 other Invicta watches. No problems with those. Also, Invicta had my watch for 8 weeks. A substantial amount of time, I know , but I have other watches. If time is an issue this might be a problem.

The blue dial is magnificent and gold band compliments the watch nicely. This is my favorite timepiece. Thanks, Invicta!

Very nice watch for a little over $100.00. Some of my co-workers even confused it for a Rolex.

This is a beautiful time peace - i bought it after having it in my wish list for 6 months along with a dozen other watches. Amazon lowered the price by 20% to about $80 so i snatched it up as i needed to look sharp at a speaking engagement. I have not worn a watch for over ten years and now that i have been wearing this for less then one week i feel naked without it! It's solid, heavy, and very good quality. Not for small wrists. Everything and more then I had hoped for in a jewelry watch.
Beautiful Watch

Beautiful watch - my second from Invicta (my other one is the 9110 stainless steel with rubber strap). Looks great on the wrist and the gold/blue is a nice combination. My only complaint is that the band has pins instead of threaded screws.
Great Looking Watch

Reviewer: K Trout,
I recently bought this watch during an incredible sale on Amazon.com. It keeps pretty good time for an automatic watch and is great looking as well. Please note that the main picture on the Amazon page shows this to have a black face, but is in in fact blue. Click on 'See all product images' and click on the 5th image. This is what the watch actually looks like.
An excellent watch

Reviewer: DGNB,
I like the Invicta watches range and have previously bought four. I like the look of the Invicta watches in particular the Pro Diver models. I have had a malfunction on one Pro Diver (but not this model) and found it was not waterproof and I received a full refund from Amazon, (Thanks). This watch is also a Pro Diver, I have to admit is a very good looking watch. The blue watch face and bezel matches in great with the gold watch bracelet. In addition it has a screw in adjuster which makes my watch totally waterproof. I have swam in a pool and the sea wearing it and snorkelled to a depth of 6 metres and it has not leaked. Constant pool swimming and diving does dull the bracelet but a quick rinse in soapy water soon brings back the gold shine. This is a real good looking watch and so far has not lost time. If I don't wear it for around 36 hours naturally it stops. I am very pleased with this watch and at the discount price that it was offered I believed I had a real bargain.
Amazing Offer

It is hard to believe that this watch sold for such a low price.
Beautifully finished, solidly built, dependable and an attention getter.
Great first Automatic watch

I purchased the 8920 blue faced Pro Diver watch 6 weeks ago and have been very pleased with it. It is my first Automatic watch and the idea of not having to have batteries replaced yearly was appealing. I mostly bought this watch for the looks. It is a beautiful watch and looks a lot like the much more expensive ones. The materials and construction appear to be quite good. This watch gains about 5 minutes a month which is within normal findings. I expect that to be closer to 2-3 minutes per month after more time goes on. I have received many compliments on how nice the watch looks. Two items to note: Obviously you must keep it wound by wearing it regularly or using a winder. I found a nice winder on Amazon for $39 which works great.

The second item of note is one that that I haven't seen in any review and that is the color of the bracelet. It is very nice, if you like the Rolex bracelet look (and I do), but... it has just a bit of a brassy color to it. It's not bad at all, but I would have preferred a less brassy color and more true gold look. Still, I would buy it again. I liked the Invicta so much that I subsequently bought the Stainless steel 8926-C Invicta and love that also. Two great watches for all occasions. When buying the Invicta from Amazon, you get the extended 5 year warranty for free, but you MUCH sign up for the warranty within 30 days of PURCHASE, not receipt of the watch.

Added April 29, 2010 I have now had this watch about 7 months and really like it. The longer I have it the more accurate it is. It gains about 3 minutes per month, no big deal. I still think the color has just a bit too much brass in it, but I am liking it more and have received compliments on the watch.
Good Value

Movement is great; it keeps good time. Plating on bracelet not complete but you have to look real hard to tell. The bezel was stiff at first but remedied with use. Made a fellow watch collector and owner of a Rolex jealous.
One more good INVICTA

I like automatic mechanical watches. All Invicta's are very nice, but they run little bit too fast. I love the motion of a sweeping second's hand.
They look like real "Rolexes". Owning a real Rolex I can say they are really very well made, especially for the price you pay for these clones. Only downside you can not set them to a second like real Rolex or other quartz watches. If that doesn't bother you, this watch is for you.

Good Watch, great price

I was looking at more expensive watches and Amazon listed this one in a notice. The price was very good, so I took a look at it and then ordered it. I had trouble with the original set because I had never had a watch that required unscrewing the crown, but after I got the band sized and the jeweler showed me how to set it, the watch has become my favorite. It is a beautiful watch with a nice feel.
stuck crown

I could not get the crown to pull out to allow me to set the time and date. I had to send it back. I like Amazon's easy method of returns. I am still awaiting to see the credit. I was not happy that I could not just get a replacement. I have to get the credit and reorder - what a pain!!!!
