One of my treasured possessions

I've owned this watch for 7 and a half years, since I was in 7th grade. It's served me perfectly, through watch band breakings and new battery replacements. The printing on it never wore off on the calculator buttons, and the screen did not scratch easily. The battery replacements were easy.
I only now am finally moving on to the DBC310-1 - not because I want to, but because the plastic casing on the DBC30-1 finally cracked, and I can't connect the band to the watch anymore. The ironic thing is that the watch itself still works perfectly. I imagine it probably will work for longer then I'm alive.
An excellent watch. I'll never get anything but Casio. |

| I bought this watch in 1997 for the first time and then lost it after 5 years. I was very happy when I found it again after searching for weeks in many stores. For me this is the perfect watch since I use the calculator every so often and do not need more than 30 phone book entries. But it is handy to have the most important numbers right on the watch since I don't always carry my cell phone around. |

| This is a great watch, I used to have one years ago but misplaced it. When I found it on Amazon for $[...] I was amazed as I remember paying about $[...] years back. I like the light weight, great calculator, brightly lit screen. |

| My girlfriend is a nerd and absolutely loves this thing.. She'll recommend it to anyone. She's own another one exactly like it and it lasted for about 4 years, the person that replaced the battery messed it up. Very durable though. |

| I have enjoyed the watch completely. I carry all my important dates and phone numbers in the database. I use it to calculate tips in restaurants, time my steaks on the barbeque and remind me when I need to take my pills. If it worked as my cell phone it would pretty much cover my needs for electronics on the move. |
Absolutely fabulous

| The casio databank may be a "men's watch" but I am a female and it is just as effective. And I love it so much. The calculator has come handy many times. The backlight is outstanding when I'm out camping. The band is an amazing material, I have had the watch for over a year and no breakage yet! The alarms help me never miss an appointment again! I love this watch and recommend it to anybody. |

This watch has been great for me. I work and play (carpentry & camping) outside and the watch takes a lot of abuse.
The numbers and the keys are big enough so I can use my finger and not a tool. This is my third
Watch (Casio #DBC30-1) in over 20 years and for the price you cannot beat it.

I ordered this product, because I've had several "calculator type" watches in previous lives. They have stopped carrying this type of Casio in many stores, so I ordered on here. I didn't get the most expensive or the cheapest - I've had those in the past. I just got the 1 that is the most functional for me at a reasonable cost.
The keypad bottons I can enter with the ole "side fingernail" - raised enough to connect well, but not spongy. The light works well to see without my glasses at night. Amazon delivery was smooth. It's a good buy. |
I like it.

| I really like it. My only complaint would be the calculator buttons can sometimes be a little hard to push, but once you get used to it, it works great. |

| I have been using this product (Casio wrist watch ) for almost 20 years with the only problem is the plastic wrist band that becomes brittle with age and cannot find a replacement for it. The battery last longer than the wrist band. I found that I'd rather buy (i.e. more convienent) a new replacement watch than try to replace the wrist band. This watch is very convinent to use specially for travelers that travel through many time zones. |

I've had several Databanks over 20-odd years. I find the letters hard to see.
I took my watch off on a visit to the beach in Florida where I was visiting my Mom. When I got home from the beach I noticed that I didn't have my watch. A day or two later a man phoned wondering if I had lost my watch. He had found it and while fiddling with the buttons - up popped a phone listing for "Mom" in the same Area Code as his (where my Mom lived). All my other numbers were for a different Area Code. He figured out that the watch's owner had likely lost it while at the beach nears the mother's house. So he called the number and I got my watch back. |

I really like this watch. This is a throwback to the old calculator watches back in the day.
I was expecting it to be a little bigger than it really is, but maybe that's because I was just a little kid when I last saw one.
The only thing that's worrying me is the flimsy-feeling resin band. However, I have to say that I'm just too used to the hard resin bands of the G Shocks.
I have large fingers but I don't find it difficult to press the number buttons.
Overall a great watch. Especially considering the price. Nice. |

| This watch is well built, and looks great. Use it every day for calculating gear ratios on transmission rebuilds. The back light on it is very bright too, great for viewing in the dark. The only thing i wish this otherwise perfect watch could be is water resistant. |

This watch is great, the reason I bought though was for its nerdy class, if that make any sense. In terms of use however it's very easy to use, I especially like using the stopwatch function since the buttons are so big. The only quirk I have about this watch is the light button that presses sometimes activates itself if you're laying on a flat surface.
Also if anyone here is a fan of "The Office", this is the watch that Dwight wears :) |

| this watch is so cool- every function works- the only problem is that there are supposedly FAKE casios out there and this might be one only cause it has absolutely no water resistant rating on the back pannel-??? I don't want to test it so i just havn't got it wet, i'm sure it will get wet one day and only then will I know how water resistant it is... no biggie though |
CASIO WATCHES-GREAT ON YOUR WRIST

| WHEN I FIRST DISCOVERED CASIO MENS DATABANK DIGITAL WATCHES, I WORKED AT A MOTION PICTURE STUDIO IN HOLLYWOOD. I NEEDED A METHOD OF KEEPING PACE WITH THE BUSY STUDIO AROUND ME. I NEEDED INSTANT PHONE NUMBERS ON MY WRIST, TO BE ABLE TO CONTACT TALENT. THE VARIOUS ALARMS TO WARN ME OF COMING EVENTS WAS SO HELPFUL. THE STOP WATCH FEATURE WAS INVALUABLE WHEN I WAS TIMING SHOWS, COMMERCIALS, AND VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THE SHOWS I WAS EDITING. THE WORLD TIMES AROUND THE WORLD HELPED IN KNOWING WHAT TIME SOMEONE ELSE IN ANOTHER TIME ZONE WAS FACING WHILE WE DISCUSSED WHEN THEY WOULD GET ME VARIOUS SHOWS, AND COMMERCIALS. I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED MY CASIO DATABANK WATCHES BECAUSE THEY ARE DEPENDABLE. I HAVE PROBABLY GONE THROUGH 5 OR 6 WATCHES, SOMETIMES WEARING 2 AT THE SAME TIME, JUST TO KEEP UP WITH THE FAST ACTION OF THE CARTOON VOICES I WAS EDITING! THANK YOU CASIO! THANK YOU AMAZON FOR GREAT PRICES! |

| I have owned several Casio Calculator watches. The last one was waterproof and yet died when I wore it while I worked up a sweat. I wish this one was waterproof. But I just won't wear it when it could get wet. The buttons are a little stiff but work OK with your fingernail. I cannot live without a calculator watch and this was a reasonable price. |

I had one of these for years but took a break from them after getting one that was eating batteries. I feel like I have an old friend back now. My one complaint is that this model doesn't have a countdown timer. My mistake for not picking the slightly more expensive model but I had browsed so many variations that I lost track.
I was also a little disappointed to learn that none of the models include a teleport function. This IS the 21st century after all. |

| This is the third Casio Databank Digital watch I have owned. It operates as advertised except the button used to initiate input is very difficult to operate. It takes many "pushs" to get it to work. A person who found it difficult to manage small buttons would find it difficult to use this watch. |
works fine, until something breaks.

I've owned several casio watches.
I owned many in the databank series over the years.
The good:
For the most part they are all great functionally.
The bad:
Plastic issues.
Even with regular use either the (black plastic) bands break or the pin receiver portion of the watch breaks (the area where the band's pin seats itself).
[I take the watch off for showering every day, and it really irks me to have a band start cracking about the 11 month mark].
For the most part, I get about 12 to 18 months use out of a casio, before something breaks. (and it is almost as much to fix as it would be to buy a new watch.
Last year I had one of these and when the band started breaking/cracking, I repaired it with a "plastic repair" kit from Urethane supply company.
The area where the band broke would remain in good shape, but a new crack would start. After 4 plastic repairs, I gave up.
I replaced my databank with a metal waveceptor. Or I thought it was metal. Most of the watch body was simply plastic plated with chrome.

Lousy manual

| This watch is very cool. However the manual does not represent the watch I have. Therefore I'm not able to use the Teledata function because I don't have a "D" button. The "Light" button is located where the "D" button should be. I have been researching this for two days. Pulling manuals from the Casio website and othe sources. The picture you provide shows the watch I have but the manual shows a completely different watch. I have used model number and module number and get the same results. So although the watch looks real neat I cant input Teledata without a "D" button.Mens Casio DBC30-1 |
