Rugged, Quality watch for the price

Review Date: October 11, 2009
Reviewer: Tag, Kentucky
I own the model 6067, which is identical to this watch, but has a different color face. Here is the good, the questionable and the bad--

THE GOOD-

+ The Invicta 6069 is a big, nice looking watch powered by a Seiko-designed NH25A automatic movement, (but the movement is not made by Seiko, it's a clone made by a Chinese company called TMI.) It has a nice reflective, brushed-metallic yellow face that is very noticeable. The face absolutely radiates in full sun. The case is 43mm (1.69", excluding the crown)

+ There are 2 "Flame Fusion" sapphire-coated mineral crystals on the front and back of the watch. You can see the movement through the rear crystal. Solid sapphire is susceptible to shattering with hard impacts, and mineral crystal can withstand impacts, but it scratches easily. The "Flame Fusion" sapphire coated mineral crystal claims to have both strength and scratch resistance. If flame fusion is hype, I suspect the the protruding "cyclops" date magnifier will be the first to be scratched. Incidentally, the scratch resistance of sapphire is NOT hype. I've tested the rear sapphire crystal on another Invicta I own by touching it with a 30,000 RPM carbide cutting tool. It didn't scratch-- Amazing! If you are rough on watches, a sapphire crystal is the way to go.

+ The power reserve is 41 hours, according to the TMI technical data sheet I found online. This is congruent with my experience; it's still running if I skip wearing it a day.

+ If I don't wear it for 2 days, it stops, but adjusting both the date and time is really fast. Pull the crown to the first position and the numbers quickly click to the correct date. (You can go through all 31 days in under 10 seconds). The 2nd crown position adjusts the time.

+ This model took some getting used to. I almost returned it when I discovered that it can't be hand-wound like my other automatics. The claim is that when it stops running it will start again as soon as you pick it up. And, well... it WON'T!!! Yes, it WILL start ticking, but it looses lots of time until it is sufficiently wound. You MUST shake it for about 15 seconds before wearing, and you'll look like you're having a seizure, but it is enough to keep it going until normal wrist movement fully winds it.

Invicta's other automatic movement is a Citizen-made Miyota uni-directional winding movement that CAN be hand-wound if needed. This TMI made NH25A movement cannot be hand-wound, but winds bi-directionally meaning that the oscillating weight wheel will wind the watch with any slight movement of your arm. I own both movements and I prefer the Miyota, because the oscillating wheel spins more freely, and hand winding is faster than shaking like an epileptic. This NH25A is hard to get spinning, which makes a difference when you have to shake it to get it wound sufficiently.

THE QUESTIONABLE-

? This model is rated to 200 meters water resistance, but it doesn't have a screw-down crown. Hmmmmm.
? The movement manufacturer, TMI is the company affiliated with several "high-priced" shady internet brands you've never heard of like Louis Bolle, Wohler, Balmer, Eberle, Stuhrling, etc. These Chinese watches have MSRPs of thousands of dollars, but always sell at 90% discounts online. I just hope this clone movement is as high quality as the Seiko manufactured 'real" one.
? The online TMI technical spec sheet states the NH25A accuracy is between -25 and +35 seconds a DAY @ normal temperatures, (not too impressive) and runs for 41 hours on a full wind.

THE BAD-

- Invicta's generic instruction manual is a joke. Only 2 of the 49 pages deal with this particular model, and those 2 pages say very, VERY little. Disappointing for a good watch.
- Also, it's not hard to find people who are unhappy with Invicta's customer service on the internet. Customer service is obviously not a priority on their flashy website either. It's full of sights and sounds, but offers little more than slick marketing. Don't even try to find technical data for your model, let alone a phone number to customer service -- it doesn't exist. All they offer is snail mail-- no chat, no email, nothing. (They play nice music on the site to reduce your anger over not finding what you want, though!)

IN SUMMARY,

This watch is worth buying if you find it for under 80-90 bucks. With it's sapphire coated crystal, the rubber strap, and surgical grade 316L stainless steel, it should be able to take a beating without showing wear.

My other Invicta Pro Diver watch has a ridiculously large, tacky engraving of the company name on the left side of the case. (about a 13 font size in bold) I hate it. Thankfully, they've gotten over their pretentiousness and didn't put that butt-ugly engraving on this model. It has a bold, clean look.

If this is your first automatic watch, don't expect quartz-like accuracy. Automatics are complicated time pieces with more than a hundred moving parts vs. a few electronic parts in their quartz cousins. Not even the most expensive automatic is as accurate as the average quartz. (My new 6067 gains 25 seconds a day, but automatics tend to get more accurate as they break-in.) So, if you appreciate the craftsmanship and the "cool factor" of an automatic watch, then it's worth correcting the time occasionally. Also be aware that automatics need to be cleaned and lubricated every few years by an expert. Invicta charges thirty bucks to clean & lubricate automatics, and the service takes more than a month.

I hope this is helpful.
Great watch, Great price

ordered this watch on a Thursday paid 2 day shipping and got it on Monday.. Paid $69.00 for it plus $7.00 for the 2day shipping.. For some reason since then its now selling for $89.00.. Guess they were moving some units at the $69.00 mark so decided to up the price..

So far I can only comment on the looks, the feel, and over all sense of quality. The watch has a nice weight to it, strap is a nice heavy duty rubber with good give when its strapped on. I'm not that in to watches so I didn't know anything about what the previous reviewer was talking about "screw down crown" but I did once I got the watch because the instructions state that most of their Diver models do have one.. This particular model does not.. Not sure why that is since it seems that is a feature a good diving watch is supposed to have. I have never had a very large diameter watch so was unsure about what would be to big.. I have a 7.5" wrist and it fits me very well not to over bearing. I was considering a Wakesetter which was 47" but I feel now that would have been to big. Setting the time and date is very easy by pulling out the crown.. The watch looks great, very sporty I wouldn't wear it with a business suit or to a wedding/ I got this watch to wear is casual, it looks cool and will go great with shorts and tennis shoes. I'll update the review after a year (if the watch is still being sold
Great Watch! Great Deal!

I bought this watch for my own 'Christmas' present but really because my 7 year old Citizen eco drive quit running. I enjoy the thought of not needing a battery and this automatic watch is quite nice for this price. It is not 'huge' as some folks have said. It's slightly larger than my Citizen, albeit heavier but my Citizen was titanium. I have received nice compliments from all my family during this week. All the guys are envious. The see through back is quite cool and the time is accurate. I have not lost any time in nearly a week. No fogging in the shower and it doesn't make a sound...no ticking. The second hand actually doesn't stop it keeps moving which I believe is the trait of an automatic. The rubber band is thick and well constructed. I don't see it breaking anytime soon. I bought this as my 'play' watch that I can beat up and not be heart broken if it gets smashed. However, it is solidly constructed and I feel very satisfied with the deal I got. I will be buying more Invictas in the future and will definitely get them here. Thanks Amazon!

I like this watch a lot. There's only two things that I feel are worth mentioning: 1, You have to wear it in order for it to keep the correct date/time. Since I own several watches, I enjoy switching them around depending on my dress & mood. 2. The two rubber strap retainers require proper placement everytime you put on the watch and rubber against rubber doesn't work the best! But, I understand the need for rubber, plus it stays in place!

However, despite those two things, I would buy another Invicta but with an orange dial. I especially liked the price!!

Thanks Amazon,

Thanks,

This is my second Invicta product and it is everything that I could have expected. Great color and the rubber band is an excellent addition to my watch collection. The magnified date window is great for old guys with badd eyes like me. Really heavy duty design and can't wait to get it in the water to put it to the full test.

The invicta yellow (Gold) watch I bought is fabulous. I am a senior and the date on the watch is magnified and easy to read. I have showered every day with the watch and it is positively waterproof. The watch itself is very elegant and the price was a great value.

Looking at the picture you would think this Invicta 6069 isn't so big. Well, I was surprised at the size and weight. Rubber wrist band is quite cumbersome to put on that I'm looking to replace with regular leather band, if there's any out there. It dies rather quickly for about two days of unused as previous reviewer indicated but if you use it daily it shouldn't be a problem. I would probably use it occasionally and recommend it for teenagers or big men who like big and heavy watch which will definitely get noticed.
good until i went in a pool

Reviewer: live the mission,
this watch was great for 5 months until I got in a pool and somehow the black numeral marker attached to the bezel came off. I was very disappointed because I loved how this watch looked and it felt like it was a quality time piece overall except for that major drawback of loosing the numerals. It looks terrible without them! I glued the metal piece back on but its still not the same. I am really disappointed overall.

Stylish and Sporty

Reviewer: Sand Lizard, So Cal
This S1 Racing Team watch is a great watch, the rubber band is comfortable and is concave on the back to let moisture out. The watch has a screw down crown, and push button chrono functions. I have always wanted a red watch, but not too red if you know what I mean. The black IP and brushed silver case make this watch just right. It keeps great time. Would recommend this watch to anyone wanting a watch that is not overstated. The sub dials are the same color, but different texture from the main face. This gives the watch a very easy to read appearance. The hands are large and easy to read, and are luminous end to end. Five stars!
Anything over $100 for this watch is too much.

Reviewer: B. Dahl,
THE most important thing a water resistant watch can have is a screw crown - which this one does not.
Although you'd never know because Amazon doesn't include Crown type or material in any of their watch specifics!
And unless you take extremely good care of the rubber strap(I mean anal) on this watch it will fall apart.
I like how they put their little marketing pictures in the ad telling you about all the processes it goes through during manufacture. What they don't tell you is that process only applies to their most expensive multi-thousand dollar watches.

Substantial and beautiful watch

Review Date: October 14, 2009
Reviewer: Richard Pelletier, Quebec, Canada
Upon receiving the watch (very fast shipping from Amazon), I was impressed by its size and heft. It is quite a bit bigger than my other watch, a TAG Heuer professional. It looks better in person than in the pictures. The dial is actually silver colored, not white as on the picture on the Amazon page. With the wavery pattern, it has a rich, gorgeous appearance. The small hands in the subdials have red tips, wich look good against the black background. The watch is also quite heavy, giving a quality feel to it.

I have been wearing it every day for a week and it does not feel heavy on the wrist. It keeps very accurate time. Some people have complained about the clasp on the bracelet. I do not see the problem. It closes securely and easily. It is reversed, however, compared to the Tag watch. The bezel moves smoothly but does not have the same feel as a more expensive watch. The bracelet is good but again it is more substantial on the TAG. I would have wished that the crown be a srew-down type, thus I am not sure about the 100m water resistance. The lume on the hands is decent but there is too little of it applied (the minute hand is very narrow), after a few minutes in the dark it fades away quite quickly. The marks around the dial are not luminescent either, only the hands. The stainless steel is highly polished, possibly making it more prone to scratching.

Overall I am very pleased with it, it could pass for a much more expensive watch to a non expert. It would be hard to beat $99 for a watch with a Swiss movement (even if it is quartz). Only time will tell if it will be reliable in the long run. I have another Invicta watch and it runs without problems. At this price it is a very good deal and one can overlook the minor shortcomings in craftsmanship and focus on the overall quality of this piece.

Watch manufacturing defect

It is a beautiful watch with excellent material and finished, but I'm not satisfied because the band came with factory default and unfortunately I could not return it because I'm outside the country, and send it to repair with a person trained and at least I can use. outside this is a good watch.
Requesting a refund but can not return.
Do not understand why being a watch brand has to have manufacturing defects.

- Invicta is known to inflate their MSRP values, and this watch is no exception. The box is labeled with a 395.00 MSRP, but since it's not worth that, it sells for for 80.00-100.00 everywhere. The inflated MSRP makes Invicta look like one of those shady Chinese companies selling thousand dollar watches for eighty bucks on Evilbay.

IN SUMMARY,

Reviewer: .....,
This watch is absolutely amazing. I picked it up for $69.99 a few weeks ago and waited to review it until I had broken it in.

Case-
Solid 306l stainless. Holds up well in a woodshop, has been scraped by knives and the like and doesn't look worse for the wear. The face of the watch is a nice golssy black which changes color depending on the light. It is beautiful.

Band-
Nice rubber band. Seems like it should hold up well over time. A little long but very nice looking.

Movement-
Frankly the most important part of a watch, the TMI NH25A is a clone of a Seiko movement, but runs within 10sec a day, very impressive considering how short of a time I've had it. You can see the movement through the Sapphire window on the back and its very impressive to show off. The case says "Japan Movt" so I would assume that they are telling the truth and it is in fact Japanese not Chinese as said above.

Overall I love this watch. It takes a beating and still works and looks good. It was inexpensive, and looks as though it cost quite a bit more than it did.

I received it very fast. It is a big, very nice looking watch. First I had to adjust it, because it was 15 seconds to fast per day, now it is +/- 2 seconds acurate per day, wich is ok for me. The luminiscent hour indicators last all night, and you can see the clock machinery through the case back, I like it!

This watch is very nice. Be advised that this model is a fair bit larger than the 9110. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, is because it does not have a screw down crown like the 9110. Although this does not really bother me as I don't actually dive, but it's still is reassuring to know it's water tight. But other than that it's a beautiful Watch.

When I opened the box that held the watch the band flew out of the box along with the pin that was holding it on to the watch face. I attempted to exchange it but they were only offering a refund. We ended up taking it to a jeweler who said the pin they used was too small and we got the right size pin. Also, the watch stopped running once. My husband started wearing it all the time and so far so good. I am hoping this will not happen again.

The title says it all. Check out the watch and if in doubt return it as you will be soaked by invicta for shipping and handling under the warranty of $28.00. The product is a good value if it works but if it fails...good luck as your value is no longer good. Bottom line is i THINK invicta makes money on the warranty repair.

Great Value / Nice Watch

Review Date: October 13, 2009
Reviewer: Indy Jeff, Indianapolis, IN
This is my first Invicta purchase and I cannot be more happy about the quality for the price. It has a little more weight to it and has a slightly larger face than I am used to, but overall it looks and feels great.

By purchasing this from Amazon, Invicta increased the warranty to 5 Years.

I have seen this watch in some local stores and online for quite a bit more than what you are paying here ($150-250 vs. < $100)!

I will happily purchase other Invicta watches in the future.

Nice watch

Review Date: September 12, 2009
Reviewer: C. Hansen, Spring, TX
I got this watch for my wife as a gift. It wasn't a surprise, as I showed it to her and asked if she liked it. She did so I ordered it. It's a nice watch and she likes it more in person. One person commented on the date window magnifier being too big. It's noticeable because the face is pretty small, but it lets you see the date much easier. This Invicta is a little lighter than I expected. Then again, I don't have much experience handling women's watches. Nice watch for the money, especially with free 2-day shipping when I purchased.
Nice watch for the price

Review Date: December 3, 2009
Reviewer: K. Dunigan,
I agree with the last reviewer who really didn't see a problem with the magnifying bubble over the date. To me, it's just not that big an issue. It's nice being able to see the date without holding the watch a few inches from from your face. The watch is a little lighter weight than I expected, but I'm used to wearing Marine Stars and they're a bit chunky. It's well made and I like the more classic look of Roman numerals instead of markers. I'm relieved that the case is small (less than an inch across)and that the band is more flexible than a pro diver's type watch. It looks a little more office and a little less "kid". I'm sending it to a friend for Christmas and her style is petite and understated jewelry. I'm confident that she'll be happy with it.
Big magnifying bubble over date of watch

Review Date: January 12, 2009
Reviewer: SusieQ, Great Lakes
I didn't like this product and wound up returning the item. You can't see very well in the picture, but there is a big magnifying bubble on the watch face so that you can see the date better. I thought it seriously took away from the appearance of the item, so much so, that it I couldn't stand looking at the watch and had to return it.

Product Description

Thin is in with this stainless steel men's watch from Invicta's Slim Collection, which is a great choice for everyday casual wear. But with its amazingly svelte 5mm (0.2 inches) profile, it can also be perfectly tucked under the cuff when dress or business wear is called for. Offering Invicta's refined, modern styling, this watch is powered by a precisely timed Swiss-manufactured quartz movement.

And while it might be stereotypical, the truth is many of the world's finest and most accurate timing movements are created in Switzerland. This is due to the wealth of knowledge and infrastructure that's been built up in the Swiss watch industry over the centuries, and with many of the Swiss practitioners having the trade and watchmaking traditions passed down over the generations.

Matched with a uniquely designed metal mesh bracelet in black, this watch has a square, black-plated stainless steel watch case that measures 39mm wide (1.54 inches). Its black dial face features a two-handed movement placed in a slightly recessed center, which is surrounded by a silver tone markers and Arabic numerals. It's water resistant to 30 meters (99 feet), also known as 3 ATM. This means that it can withstand rain and splashes of water--such as car washing and showering--but it shouldn't be worn swimming.

Other features include a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, fold-over safety clasp, and Tritnite luminous hands. Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. When exposed to regular daylight, it will hold its glow for about 20 hours.

Quartz Movement
The "movement" of a watch refers to the mechanics that power the ticking of the timepiece, and this watch is powered by a Swiss-made quartz movement. It utilizes the vibrations of a tiny quartz crystal to maintain timing, which provides a fast, steady oscillation (at more than 30,000 times per second) to provide excellent accuracy.

  • Precise Swiss-Quartz movement
  • Quality Swiss-Quartz movement
  • Stainless-steel mesh band with unique fold-over-clasp-with-safety

great watch for the money

Review Date: July 1, 2010
Reviewer: D. Starkey, Hemet, CA, USA
Don't listen to all the negative reviews. I made a bid on this watch at ebay and got it for $45.00; but it is a great watch. Get a lot of positive comments, band is terrific. A good buy!
A CLASSIC TIMEPIECE at a TERRIFIC PRICE!

Review Date: September 13, 2009
Reviewer: Edward Oleksak, New Jersey USA
1st, my opinion of the two previous
reviews: worthless.
"Plato's" is the more idiotic. The "latch" did take me about 2 mins. to figure out, but once it is properly set it would not come off unless the hand was removed. It is smart & very secure - a most clever clasp!
And I'm sure glad that I'm not on V. Gera's "X-Mass" list - I always try to give heartfelt, thoughtful Christmas gifts, not personal rejects - although I'd be overwhelmed if anyone choose such a beautiful watch for me!
This magnificently classic timepiece is an "steal" at under $65. - Its beautiful simplicity has attracted more attention and compliments than any watch I've had (the exception being a "Skeleton" Acutron back in 1974). It would not be out of place in a MOMA showcase (no, I'm really quite sane - the picture shown is totally inadaquate).
No "bells & whistles", not even a date - but you can tell the time without reaching for glasses. The face is large and the mesh band a perfect compliment. You adjust it yourself, no need for a trip to a jeweler, and the fit can be adjusted to fit large or small wrists. This a SWISS MOVEMENT!(almost unheard of at this price point). INVICTA extends the warranty - they've been in the business for a few hundred years and stand behind their product. It seems that they are as proud of their superbly designed timepieces and excellent workmanship as I am to wear it.
Pay no attention to the two above mentioned, I didn't and could not be happier with a purchase or a watch - at an unbelievable price (I don't know how this can be done). I didn't mention how elegant it's thinness is; it is . . . VERY!

Nice Watch.

Review Date: December 12, 2008
Reviewer: V. Gera, Queens, NY
I bought this watch with the intention to give it away, but also not sure if I wanted to keep it for myself. I love slim watches because they're light, functional and in my opinion far more attractive than watches with thick faces (usually anything more than 8mm, I consider too large and bulky). Invicta's Slim collection has faces that are measured at a thickness of 6mm. This is wonderful. On the other hand, the watch face is very big and not exactly attractive. I wish that I had bought the same watch in silver with a white face. I will probably give it away as a X-mas gift, but this is nevertheless a very nice watch. Lastly, when you receive the watch, make sure that you inspect it carefully. The first watch I received had been scratched or damaged, which exposed the silver metal under the black coat of paint on the metal strap.
Now It works perfect!!!

Review Date: September 22, 2009
Reviewer: D. Leal, Bogota, Colombia
I love invicta's style, so i own this watch, the first three days it doesn't work well, it loses 5 minutes per hour, and a 55 minutes per hour watch don't worth a cent, but after this time, i keep constantly updating time, and then it starts to work perfect, and i love it. But most of reviews talk about problems on slim invicta fot keeping time.
Nice, but wore once and it just fell off!

Review Date: October 23, 2009
Reviewer: Tiffany Jones,
The watch was purchased as a gift for my husband. When it arrived, I was so excited and I loved it! My husband loved it as well. However, he got an opportunity to wear it about a week after I gave it to him and it just fell off of his wrist. The clasp to fasten it fell apart. I'm not sure what happended, but it the way that it fell off made it appear to be a cheap (very cheap) watch.
A Mistake

The black on the band wore off. the latch is difficult ot close. It keeps good time The face is atactive. I dont wear it as the latch on the band has come undone.

Gorgeous Invicta Pro Diver Red Watch!

Review Date: October 11, 2009
Reviewer: J. Jourdonais, North Central Montana
This watch has quickly become my all time favorite watch to wear. It is impressive looking, and
the highly reflective red dial is stunning. The date is easy to see, as it has a magnifier above
it. It is highly water resistant, and I do not hesitate to wear it in the shower or doing things
where it may get wet. Being an automatic, you never have to worry about winding it, or batteries.
The flame fusion crystal is very scratch resistant and the exhibition window in the back makes it easy
to see the movement in action. The numbers and hands do glow in the dark, but I feel Invicta could have
done a better job in that respect, as they don't glow very well. But other than that, it is a
five star product in my book.
really beautiful watch, worth the money and more

Review Date: November 17, 2009
Reviewer: R. Miller, SLC
I really like my new 6015. The red is much nicer than the picture would indicate, much more like a blood color. The finish is very nice, and the quality seems very good, in line with the other 2 Invicta watches that I own. Some have complained about the lack of hand winding and a hack for this watch, but I have not been bothered by it. My one complaint is the lack of the Invicta logo on the side and crown, some would say that is a bonus, but I kinda like those myself. I got this model as a deal of the week for 49.99, and I think it is worth every penny and then some.

Over a month later, I have to change my review to 5 stars. I have really fallen in love with this watch, and I have gotten so many comments on it from others. I would by this watch again in a heartbeat. I hope they have a great buy on this model in blue or yellow sometime soon.
That Watch With The Shimmering Ruby Red Dial

Review Date: November 21, 2009
Reviewer: Bob857, Connecticut
The face of this watch is very striking with the Ruby red enamel and sunray dial shimmering with every movement as I look at it through the anti-reflective mineral crystal. It also has a powerful magnifier that makes it very easy to read the date. Invicta calls the crystal Flame Fusion(tm), saying they take a regular mineral crystal, coat it with sapphire and then fuse the two together with flame giving it the scratch resistance of sapphire and the shatter resistance of a mineral crystal. This causes some people to fall down and comence to ROFL, while others will swear it's true and threaten to come find you and then beat you about the head and shoulders for even questioning it. I guess everyone drinks their own kind of Kool-Aid. Me? I paid $49.99 for a great watch and don't really care what the crystal is called as just long as it meets certain standards and this one does. Although... if it had an AR coated sapphire crystal with a slight dome - that would be cool.

The case is 43mm, not including the crown. It doesn't have a screw down crown but Invicta says it's water proof to 200 meters. The bracelet is 20mm wide at the lugs and tapers to 18mm at the clasp, the links are 4mm thick solid stainless steel held together with pins and the whole thing is very generously sized. Okay that's an understatement, I've never seen such a large bracelet, this thing would fit King Kong! But it has plenty of removable links for adjustment so it will fit smaller wrists as well.

It has the TMI (Time Module Ltd.) NH25A Made in Japan movement. Basically a clone of the Seiko 7S25A. No hand winding, but automatic (Seiko Magic Fingers) winding in both directions gives it an excellent power reserve. I set mine and wore it for about four hours then put it away for the night, in the morning it was still running. It doesn't hack but if you move the crown slightly anticlockwise the second hand will stop or even move backward for four or five seconds, so setting it to the exact time is fairly easy and as mine gains just 8 seconds a day I only feel a need to reset it every few days. Stunning good looks, low maintenance, a quality bracelet and a reliable movement for not much money make the Invicta 6015 hard to beat in the bang-for-the-buck competition. If you buy one you won't regret it.
AWESOME product - not good Amazon service

Review Date: December 16, 2009

Invicta automatic watch is beautiful & keeps excellent time - gains maybe 5 to 10 seconds per day. I couldn't be more pleased with the product. 5 stars
Am not happy with Amazon - this was my first (and last) order. I did not receive the 20% discount promised at checkout. I triple checked the offer, tried to email Amazon with a question, no response. Decided to purchase anyway - 20% discopunt still in effect, NOT REC'D. Super saver shipping was Extremely Slow. Not a good shopping experience.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend as an early Christmas present and he loves it!!! He has many different watches, so I was nervous that he may not like it, but I should have never worried! When I opened the box after receiving it in the mail, it was so shiny and pretty that I almost didn't want to touch it!! Truly a beautiful watch and it looks awesome on him!!
VERY PLEASED

Review Date: November 18, 2009
Reviewer: ZOOGUY,
This is a pretty watch.
I have 17 watches and I count this one as among the best looking. The red face is actually better looking than the picture, and it contrasts well with the black bezel. The backside features a see thru automatic movement including writing on the weight stating "Invicta Watch Group" and "21 jewels". The back side also states "Master of the Oceans".
Where there is however no screw down crown, I don't plan on taking it in the water.
Nice looking Invicta

Review Date: November 13, 2009
Reviewer: Razzierb, Virginia
Great looking watch that is definitely bigger than my Invicta 8926 and its clones. The writeup does say that this watch has a Japanese automatic movement and it does. It's apparently a clone of a Seiko movement manufactured for Invicta by a Chinese company. Not a bad thing, but I thought I was getting Invicta's Citizen Miyota automatic movement which it uses in many of it's other watches.

If there is negative regarding this model, it's that the crown doesn't screw down like my other Invictas (guessing that this is a feature of the movement). Sort of makes me wonder how effective it would really be in sealing out sea water down to the advertised depth. Screw down crowns are generally a standard feature in a good dive watch. Other minor irritation is that you cannot wind this watch on initial startup. You've got to shake it a bit to get it going.

All in, this is a good looking watch with what I hope will prove to be a reliable automatic movement. I'm knocking off a star due to the two factors above. On the flip side, you won't find many watches this nice for the price Amazon was asking when I ordered.

The watch looks really good, but after wearing it about two weeks, it had already gained two minutes. I have two other Invictas and they keep great time. That much gain is not acceptable to me. Are Automatics not as accurate?????
Low Quality

Review Date: December 27, 2009
Reviewer: TVP, Fall River Ma
Not happy with this watch. In less than three weeks the crystal cracked, the bezel fell off and got lost, and the the set pin keeps popping out so the time stops and has to be reset. In the price range I will stick with Fossil watches.
Look's good but that's it !!!

Review Date: April 4, 2010
Reviewer: Mr. Olivier Bariau, France
I bought this watch after much hesitation, but then, spending 50 $ for a watch allegedly worth over 350$ could not be a bad deal.

Unfortunately, it was: I received the watch, wore it twice to swim in the sea and second time, the rotating bezel was lost when I got out (watch hasn't been knock out on anything). So after 2 days, I get stuck with a watch, ugly without the bezel.

Amazon customer service saved my day in offering a full refund for the watch even after the normal period.

I'll buy more from Amazon for sure but definitely not from Invicta!

Great Value

Review Date: June 19, 2010
Reviewer: William Barnes, North Central Illinois
I bought this watch and have had it a month. It is a surprisingly nice watch for about $100. Some have reported other Invictas have trouble keeping time but this one seems to do fine. It has a nice weight, the band seems to be pretty fair quality, and I think the watch looks great. The large second hand sweeps in 1/5 seconds. The biggest complaint I have is the luminescence is really poor: none on the hour markers (which is consistent with their claims) and way to little material on the hour and minute hands for these 55 year old eyes. If I wake up at night I have to stare at to see the hands and then figure out the time.

Overall: Great value for a hundred bucks.
