Beautiful watch

Review Date: January 6, 2009
Reviewer: Jessica Smith, Lake Park, MN USA
I just recieved this watch and it is beautiful. It is not too large, although large watches for women are the current style, nor is it heavy. I do have a small wrist at less than six inches, this watch is very comfortable to wear. I found this watch to be of superior quality and workmanship.
Great watch

Reviewer: A. Furlich, Virginia Beach, VA
I have been very pleased with this watch. I have read many of the reviews, and I would like to clarify a few details. I am petite, 5'2", with a small wrist. I did have to have many links removed, but, once the watch was sized, I have worn it regularly. It is heavy, but comfortable to wear. To me, the weight makes the watch feel substantial and well made. I love neutral colors, and the watch works well with my clothes. My watch was in perfect condition when I received it as a birthday present.

This is an excellent watch. I purchased it as an expensive alternative for work; she loves it--wears it daily.
Very good value!
I love it.

Reviewer: Southern Gal,
Got this a week or so ago. It is big but just what I wanted. I have a smaller wrist and had to have a lot of links taken out so if you have a very large wrist, don't hesitate. I love the neutrality of the brown color and had been wanting an automatic for a while now. Quite pleased.

This is my favorite new accessory. It looks really sharp. I love the two-tone design.
Great value in a stylish watch

Review Date: February 11, 2010
Reviewer: Brian John Meyer,
I picked the Invicta 5070 up for my girlfriend during a recent Amazon sale.

The watch arrived within 2 days of ordering, and it has exceeded expectations.

It is solid, stylish, and my girlfriend has stated that it is "...as nice as any watch I've ever owned." For the price `$80.00, it's tough to beat this watch. The mother of pearl face is accented by the brown stripe in the bracelet, and the bracelet itself is very nice. The latch mechanism is positive, the timekeeping thus far is exemplary, and overall she couldn't be happier (unless the Invicta box actually contained an engagement ring....)

She's gotten a ton of complements on this watch. I rate it 5/5 stars.
non diving dive watch?

Review Date: February 15, 2010
Reviewer: S. Momier, Fla
I bought this watch as a dive watch for my wife. Well afterward, I read it was not meant for scuba diving although it says water resistant to 300 ft. and was rated for swimming pools only. Does it really make sense to call a watch a "pro diver" and then not be able to dive with it. Now I have to send it back although it looks great. I need something my wife can wear diving. I called Invicta customer service to see if they could explain the conflicting info and was put on hold until I hung up. I called back and was told by the operator it was a 25 minute wait before I could ask anybody my simple question so I'm just gonna return it and go buy one at a dive shop
Too thick and heavy

This watch is very thick and heavy. Heavier than my husband's dive watch. I wouldn't recommend it and I am returning it.

Mens Watch with the correct womens sale tag attached received instead of Womens

Review Date: September 25, 2009
Reviewer: Sheila Kelley, Atlanta, Ga United States
In the past(several years) I have received excellent service from Amazon, BUT THAT SEEMS TO HAVE CHANGED. The watch I received was a Mans watch with the womens model tag around the band with no seal at the catch. This the second time this month that I have received a problem item(the other didn't work and I'm still waiting for the return paperwork). Amazon YOU NEED TO CHECK YOUR EMPLOYEES!!!!!! THEY'RE DOING SLOPPY WORK!!!!!!! and this affects your reputation!!!!!! I don't have time to keep returning items!!!!

Just the one thing I wanted

Review Date: June 16, 2007
Reviewer: Jose Roberto Lizama, San Salvador, El Salvador
When I started on my "Amazon watch search" I had a pretty good idea of what I needed. It had to be a watch with an assortment of characteristics. Essentially three, i. e., bracelet, dial, and date feature.

I like the metal bracelet, not the leather, rubber or vinyl straps, since the excess strap bothers me when I write. Being an MD and a concerned husband, I don't like to flash the light on my patients while they sleep or at my wife when our room is dimmed; so fluorescent time hands and an easy to read dial is a must. The last "conditio sine qua non" was that the watch displays clearly the day of the month. Since I can never remember it.

I was doubtful about a "divers style" model since my wrist's diameter is not too large, reason for which I was looking for a "dressy style." But the Invicta caught my attention. The shape is clean, wearable for every occasion and it incorporates all the essentials on my list. It is sober without looking cheap.

There are a few bonuses, now I can shower without being worried of water filtering into the case. The time piece is quartz accurate, and doesn't need me shacking my wrist to wind it, or hand winding myself. It's somewhat heavy compared to my other watches but a few seconds is all it takes to get used to. The solid stainless band with diver buckle and safety clasp assure it will never fall off by accident. The screw down security crown is an innovation in my world, it must be a plus of divers while for me it's OK.

There surged only one problem which I solved with a pair of fine hand pliers. I had to take apart a few links off the band. As the little pins are taken, some got loose and with everyday use they started to protrude from their pin holes. With the set of fine pliers I made a little twist and inserted them again. So far the problem has been solved. Oh, one comment, Invicta is a swiss watch company, but the machine says "Japan Movement." So, what's the deal here?

Essentially this Invicta time piece is quite straight forward, not too many "bells and whistles" so, I can not generalize my experience to more complex models with "moon dial" and other gizmos. It is just what I wanted, at a great price, no frills added. I hope a few months from today, when I go over this review, I will feel as satisfied as I am.

I bought this watch for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. What a great watch for the little bit of money I paid for it. He was more impressed with the nice box the watch came in. I have purchased Invicta for him before and paid a ton of money for the watch. This watch is equally if not nicer than the first Invicta I purchased for him. I would recommend this watch just for the price alone, and with the Invicta name no one will be the wiser on how much you really spent.
very satisfied invicta owner

Reviewer: Jason Street, San Diego, Ca. USA
Just bought this watch about a month ago as a new watch to wear daily for work in sales. It is my first invicta, and it certainly won't be my last, as the quality for the price is amazing. I work in retail automotive, so I need a watch that can easily be dressed up with (for sales metings) or down, for the parts counter and test equipment. So far it has been very resistant to scratches and abrasions, and looks like a brand new watch after a month of hard wear and tear.
Invicta Looks Like a More Expensive Watch

Friends have complimented my husband on his great diving watch. They have no idea that it cost so little. It's running fine on land. We will be testing it in the water next month.
Whadda value!

Review Date: February 28, 2007
Reviewer: Martin Larson, Hills of TN
Recently I cashed all my change at a Coinstar and was given the option of them taking 8.9 cents on the dollar or getting full value from Amazon. I chose Amazon. I thought I had about a hundred in change but only had fifty something. I looked at every category to blow my money on and was enamored by the Invicta watches and the positive reviews. I chose a watch with no review (probably because it was only $50).
Since I've only had it for a day...It is so well constructed, on the heavy side, nice magnified calender (Rolex???), has kept the correct time all day and since I don't dive, I'll never know the implosion point of this exceptional timepiece. The only negatives are...it's hard to change the time due to the diver style screw down crown and the Flea market, bright yellow box, oh yeah, if you like instructions you'll receive a 45 page book.
Nice watch, so far happy with the purchase.

Reviewer: Carl A. Wick, Gastonia, NC
Very happy with the purchase of the 8933 so far. The only minor complaint so far is the clasp, the main locks into place. To unlock it you have to pull it instead of having to squeeze two unlocking buttons like a Citizen and Fossil that I have. Besides the clap no complaints, watch is well worth the money I paid.
A nice watch, but smaller than I imagined

Review Date: January 3, 2010
Reviewer: MN Swede, Minnesota USA
This is a great watch, especially for the price I paid - $41 when Amazon had a 25% off Invicta sale. (A few hours after I ordered, Amazon raised the regular price from $55 to over $75.) The watch has a solid, quality feel to it, especially the bracelet. It also keeps good time, losing only 2 or 3 seconds a week, if you set it using an "Atomic Time" clock. I do have a few disappointments. The watch is slightly smaller than I had hoped for. Amazon lists the case as 41mm wide, but that measurement includes the stem on the right side. The case itself is actually about 37mm wide. The white dial measures 28mm wide and the blue/red bezel ring is 35mm wide. If you're looking for a big diver-type watch, this is not for you. Its smaller size is better for everyday wear, and it easily fits under the cuff of a dress shirt. I've also noticed that the second hand is not aligned. As it ticks around the dial, it stops in-between the second markers. The last point is the red/blue bezel ring appears to be a very thin layer of paint on the metal bezel, and I have a feeling that it might scratch very easily. In spite of these few shortcomings, I am still very pleased with my purchase.

Beautiful Watch

Review Date: October 25, 2008
Reviewer: Darin Hyatt, Elk Grove, CA USA
I own and have seen/handled several expensive watches from $5k to $35$ in price. This one really does look like it belongs in that group based on just looking at it. The quality, packaging, etc is also reflective of a watch that costs a great deal more. The only real differences I see from the Rolexes and Omegas is the weight and feel of the watch when you handle it, and very minor workmanship touches that you have to closely inspect to see(you really have to be looking for them and inspect closely). And, of course for the price of this watch, if you are dissapointed by that, then you are probably going to be disappointed by any watch that doesn't come with a price tag in the thousands. If you are looking for an absolutely beatiful watch that is well made, looks like the expensive swiss made watches, and generally has the quality of a much more expensive watch, then you have found it. For the price they are selling these for, you absolutely cannot go wrong.

Well, less than a month after receiving this watch, I find that I have to edit the review. The watch stopped working. I mailed it back for a refund. I researched if Invicta had a problem with quality a little deeper and didn't find a huge number of complaints, but found enough to be of concern. I am still debating if I will just call this very bad luck and give Invicta another shot or not.

Everything about this purchase and this watch has been beyond my expectations. Not only does this watch look and perform very well, the price was fantastic. I received immediate follow ups when I purchased and when it shipped. It was packaged very well and I'm actually going to purchase another watch as a gift for someone from this same Amazon vendor.
Good Service

Review Date: August 12, 2009
Reviewer: B. white, columbus, Ohio
I bought this watch around 2000-01 and never had a problem with it. Looks and feels like a watch that should be much more expensive. Keeps good time. The reason for this review is to inform others of my experience with invicta customer service. Over the years I have requested and received a couple of replacement spring pins without any hassle. A while back a spring pin failed and the watch fell off my wrist and hit the concrete and quit working. Obviously a good shock. I recently sent it in to invicta explaining what had happened. Other than it not running, the watch did not show any signs of damage. Now I have read some reviews of invicta's customer service stating how terrible their service was. It's necessary to understand that not all people have the same experience. I sent my watch in with the 25 dollar money order for return shipping and then waited for someone to contact me with what the problem was and the charge to fix it. I just received the watch back. My watch came back in the same condition it was when I mailed it off with the exception that it now works.Whoo..Hooo!. There was no charge for whatever the repair was. This is a 9-10yr old watch which is no longer under warranty. The only thing Invicta could do better at in my opinion is communicate. In all my dealings with Invicta, I have never had any direct communications with an actual person. I have read that other's have, good and bad. Overall I am satisfied. I also have 3 other Invicta watches. No problems with those. Also, Invicta had my watch for 8 weeks. A substantial amount of time, I know , but I have other watches. If time is an issue this might be a problem.

This is a beautiful time peace - i bought it after having it in my wish list for 6 months along with a dozen other watches. Amazon lowered the price by 20% to about $80 so i snatched it up as i needed to look sharp at a speaking engagement. I have not worn a watch for over ten years and now that i have been wearing this for less then one week i feel naked without it! It's solid, heavy, and very good quality. Not for small wrists. Everything and more then I had hoped for in a jewelry watch.

Beautiful watch - my second from Invicta (my other one is the 9110 stainless steel with rubber strap). Looks great on the wrist and the gold/blue is a nice combination. My only complaint is that the band has pins instead of threaded screws.

Movement is great; it keeps good time. Plating on bracelet not complete but you have to look real hard to tell. The bezel was stiff at first but remedied with use. Made a fellow watch collector and owner of a Rolex jealous.
Great first Automatic watch

Review Date: December 17, 2009
Reviewer: E. Robinson, Santa Clarita, CA
I purchased the 8920 blue faced Pro Diver watch 6 weeks ago and have been very pleased with it. It is my first Automatic watch and the idea of not having to have batteries replaced yearly was appealing. I mostly bought this watch for the looks. It is a beautiful watch and looks a lot like the much more expensive ones. The materials and construction appear to be quite good. This watch gains about 5 minutes a month which is within normal findings. I expect that to be closer to 2-3 minutes per month after more time goes on. I have received many compliments on how nice the watch looks. Two items to note: Obviously you must keep it wound by wearing it regularly or using a winder. I found a nice winder on Amazon for $39 which works great.

The second item of note is one that that I haven't seen in any review and that is the color of the bracelet. It is very nice, if you like the Rolex bracelet look (and I do), but... it has just a bit of a brassy color to it. It's not bad at all, but I would have preferred a less brassy color and more true gold look. Still, I would buy it again. I liked the Invicta so much that I subsequently bought the Stainless steel 8926-C Invicta and love that also. Two great watches for all occasions. When buying the Invicta from Amazon, you get the extended 5 year warranty for free, but you MUCH sign up for the warranty within 30 days of PURCHASE, not receipt of the watch.

One more good INVICTA

I like automatic mechanical watches. All Invicta's are very nice, but they run little bit too fast. I love the motion of a sweeping second's hand.
They look like real "Rolexes". Owning a real Rolex I can say they are really very well made, especially for the price you pay for these clones. Only downside you can not set them to a second like real Rolex or other quartz watches. If that doesn't bother you, this watch is for you.

Large and stylish watch with distinctive color splash!

Review Date: March 11, 2009
Reviewer: W. D. Gagliani, Milwaukee, WI USA
All right, I have a watch fetish. I tend to like leather and poly (sports) bands the most, and silver over gold in case color. I have liked large, but had never seen so many really oversize watches until I became aware of Invicta. My preference is for chronographs such as my Chase-Durer UDT (black) which looks like a slightly smaller version of the watch Michael wears on "Burn Notice" -- his is more expensive than mine was, but they share many similar details, especially the yellow/orange sub-dial for seconds. I have a couple other chronographs in roughly the same style. But recently I wanted to add a couple watches with metal bands for variety. So I found Invicta and read the reviews and was intrigued by the fact that everyone said "large!" So then I decided I'd check them out by going in with less expensive models to see if I liked them. I made a selection here at Amazon, and settled on a couple. This Rally chronograph stood out as much more desirable than the model with the brown/bronze highlight, so I decided to try it. I worried that it would be too large, but I'm a fairly big-boned guy (even if not tall) and decided to take a chance. Now this watch has become a favorite! First, the color. I like blue, and this watch has two shades -- a royal blue face, and an almost emerald bezel and highlight all around the band. Features that attracted me by being "different" (besides the blue face) were Roman numerals and the fact that the three sub-dials are positioned is a row across the lower half of the main face, rather than clustered around the center as they usually are. The splash of red (hands and faces) is a nice contrast with the blue main face. The bezel has a nice, solid click to it. The band is of the double-clasp variety and a bit tough to undo, but I assume it will soften up a bit. I had to take several links out of the band, but the watch pin-removing tool I purchased also from Amazon did the trick without too much labor. I feared the watch would be too shiny, too silvery, and too blue, but it turns out the elements all work very nicely together. This is a distinctive watch that is large but not too large, and certainly different enough (at least from my other watches) to stand out. It's sporty and interesting, and has become a regular for me. Invicta has a winner here, and it's priced perfectly for entry-level curious customers like me. Mileage will vary, of course.
Blue is beautiful and bold

I was looking at this watch for a while and then it was on sale so I decided to give it a shot as nothing online looks the same in person; well this is stunning. The contrast of the stainless and invicta blue is awesome and I love the straight-line subdials all of which are easily read. For a watch of this looks and calibre to be at this price hurry and get yours soon. The only drawback is no date; however I have been single long enough to deal with that. LOL This to me is a great back to school gift for any highschool or college guy. The band adjusts easy and everything once more exudes quality...yay invicta you did it again.

A big watch

This is big big watch. It weighs in at 7.5 ounces and is really striking in appearance. You'll probably need to have the band sized, I'm 5'11", 205 lbs, and I had to take off 5 links before it fit. Lots of positive comments, very happy with the quality and appearance.
Very Nice Watch

It was a great deal for what I paid but I noticed the price went up substantially after I bought it. At it's new price I wouldn't have been interested.
AN EYE CATCHER

Review Date: September 27, 2009
Reviewer: Bert Rainey,
This watch will clearly turn heads. For the price, it is one of the best investments I have made. I am always getting rave reviews over this watch. The only thing I am dissapointed in is the Luminous Dials. The dial and hands do not stay illuminated but for a few hours.
Nice Watch, but Shipping was another matter.

Review Date: November 2, 2009
Reviewer: J. Rodriguez,
It's a very nice watch. Looks great, though I'm surprised I received it intact. I received the watch in a timely manner, but I did notice that the original box it was shipped in was removed at some point. Probably a much smaller box than what I received. The box I received the watch in was so big you could have put an additional 10 to 12 watch boxes of the same size in this huge box. The kicker is, that there was no insulation or padding within the larger box to insulate the much smaller watch box from any damage. The watch box was just bouncing around in the much larger box, while in transit. I know the box was changed at some point, because of how the Shipping Label was re-attached to the larger box. I removed the shipping label carefully and found parts of the original box stuck to it's backside. When the shipping label was re-attached, it was done with transparent shipping tape. So it was easy to remove. Although the watch seemed to have survived, the yellow watch box was damaged slightly in transit. If Amazon.Com shipped this watch box out in this manner, shame on them. But, if the box was opened by the actual shipper (or agent) or original box was damaged in any way and a much larger box was substituted; the proper padding should have been added to this box to protect it's content. Only 4 Stars, because watch was not damaged in transit and padding was not appropriate for enclosed contents. Thank You. JR.
Too big and too small

I didn't need another watch, but it looked so good in pictures and so inexpensive, I thought why Not? But its very very BIG, clunky and heavy, and the chronometer dials are too small for a person over 40 to read.
I have 2 other Invicta watches of substantial size which are very fine.
This one might be ok if you have a very very large wrist/arm and you can read very very small dials.

The watch arrived with a flat battery - contacted Invicta in States - they said no dealerships available in UK to check watch - they suggested I contacted Amazon 'you try!!' - I asked Invicta what if I used a local dealer like Goldsmiths who I use for other brands but was told would affect warranty - and so I told them to hell with the warranty and went to Goldsmith's who sent it away - it cost me £40 - was it worth it? - not really for although watch's general timekeeping works ok I can't seem to get chrono to work - it's a very pretty watch but I have to advise that unless you are really desperate to have this model - leave it alone
I'm a positive person, but.......

The beautiful solid chunk of a watch was dead on arrival. The large attractive dial is very hard to read, and the sub-dials are far too small to be of any use. I dislike returning purchases, also don't like being harshly critical, but this one went back in a few hours.

I would be remiss if I did not give Amazon high marks for the return process. It was very easy, hassle-free, very satisfactory.
Watch came with battery dead

Now I have to spend additional $ to buy a battery? These must have been sitting in the wearhouse for a very long time for the battery to go dead.

Really big!

Review Date: March 6, 2009
Reviewer: Shop Girl 918,
I love large watches, but this one is absolutely huge! It's a little uncomfortable to wear due to the cap over the crown, so I have to wear it up further on my arm and the band is quite thick, so it makes it difficult to get on. However, I love the look and am happy with the purchase. Do not buy this watch if you are looking for something small/feminine.
overpriced

Got this same watch from ShopNBC for $84. It was a nice style but very, very thick and uncomrtable to have on...plus the strap was so thick that I couldn't get it to close properly... I had to return it because it was essentially unwearable.

Invicta Watch

Review Date: January 22, 2010
Reviewer: Patricia Wilson,
I have gotten positive comments about this watch from so many people, it is quite the topic of discussion! It is, indeed, an attractive timepiece and most people have commented on how expensive it looks. I am delighted and quite thrilled that I did not pay as much for it as people think. So far it is operating as expected and I am happy I made the decision to purchase it(I admit I was hesitant).
Good watch

Reviewer: Funny Mom,
This is a good watch but not really great. I only paid around $100 for it and that's about what's it worth. People always say how nice it looks. I wear it all the time. If you want a good $100 watch this is but I wouldn't spend more than $150 for it. Good luck.

Awesome watch!

Review Date: January 20, 2010
Reviewer: Heather L. Goodwin, bonaire, GA
I was hesitant when I purchased this watch because I had bought an Invicta previously and did not care for it at all. This watch is the exact opposite. I like everything about this watch. It mixes classic timepiece styling with modern elements. It looks and feels like a high quality watch suitable for any occasion. The band is stylish and comfortable. The face really stands out and is easy to read in any light. Great watch, great deal.

The watch looks rather big on my wrist than its actual dimensions. Also not as spakling looking as the pictures depict.
