All right, I have a watch fetish. I tend to like leather and poly (sports) bands the most, and silver over gold in case color. I have liked large, but had never seen so many really oversize watches until I became aware of Invicta. My preference is for chronographs such as my Chase-Durer UDT (black) which looks like a slightly smaller version of the watch Michael wears on "Burn Notice" -- his is more expensive than mine was, but they share many similar details, especially the yellow/orange sub-dial for seconds. I have a couple other chronographs in roughly the same style. But recently I wanted to add a couple watches with metal bands for variety. So I found Invicta and read the reviews and was intrigued by the fact that everyone said "large!" So then I decided I'd check them out by going in with less expensive models to see if I liked them. I made a selection here at Amazon, and settled on a couple. This Rally chronograph stood out as much more desirable than the model with the brown/bronze highlight, so I decided to try it. I worried that it would be too large, but I'm a fairly big-boned guy (even if not tall) and decided to take a chance. Now this watch has become a favorite! First, the color. I like blue, and this watch has two shades -- a royal blue face, and an almost emerald bezel and highlight all around the band. Features that attracted me by being "different" (besides the blue face) were Roman numerals and the fact that the three sub-dials are positioned is a row across the lower half of the main face, rather than clustered around the center as they usually are. The splash of red (hands and faces) is a nice contrast with the blue main face. The bezel has a nice, solid click to it. The band is of the double-clasp variety and a bit tough to undo, but I assume it will soften up a bit. I had to take several links out of the band, but the watch pin-removing tool I purchased also from Amazon did the trick without too much labor. I feared the watch would be too shiny, too silvery, and too blue, but it turns out the elements all work very nicely together. This is a distinctive watch that is large but not too large, and certainly different enough (at least from my other watches) to stand out. It's sporty and interesting, and has become a regular for me. Invicta has a winner here, and it's priced perfectly for entry-level curious customers like me. Mileage will vary, of course.
Blue is beautiful and bold

I was looking at this watch for a while and then it was on sale so I decided to give it a shot as nothing online looks the same in person; well this is stunning. The contrast of the stainless and invicta blue is awesome and I love the straight-line subdials all of which are easily read. For a watch of this looks and calibre to be at this price hurry and get yours soon. The only drawback is no date; however I have been single long enough to deal with that. LOL This to me is a great back to school gift for any highschool or college guy. The band adjusts easy and everything once more exudes quality...yay invicta you did it again.

This is big big watch. It weighs in at 7.5 ounces and is really striking in appearance. You'll probably need to have the band sized, I'm 5'11", 205 lbs, and I had to take off 5 links before it fit. Lots of positive comments, very happy with the quality and appearance.
Very Nice Watch

It was a great deal for what I paid but I noticed the price went up substantially after I bought it. At it's new price I wouldn't have been interested.
AN EYE CATCHER

This watch will clearly turn heads. For the price, it is one of the best investments I have made. I am always getting rave reviews over this watch. The only thing I am dissapointed in is the Luminous Dials. The dial and hands do not stay illuminated but for a few hours.
Nice Watch, but Shipping was another matter.

It's a very nice watch. Looks great, though I'm surprised I received it intact. I received the watch in a timely manner, but I did notice that the original box it was shipped in was removed at some point. Probably a much smaller box than what I received. The box I received the watch in was so big you could have put an additional 10 to 12 watch boxes of the same size in this huge box. The kicker is, that there was no insulation or padding within the larger box to insulate the much smaller watch box from any damage. The watch box was just bouncing around in the much larger box, while in transit. I know the box was changed at some point, because of how the Shipping Label was re-attached to the larger box. I removed the shipping label carefully and found parts of the original box stuck to it's backside. When the shipping label was re-attached, it was done with transparent shipping tape. So it was easy to remove. Although the watch seemed to have survived, the yellow watch box was damaged slightly in transit. If Amazon.Com shipped this watch box out in this manner, shame on them. But, if the box was opened by the actual shipper (or agent) or original box was damaged in any way and a much larger box was substituted; the proper padding should have been added to this box to protect it's content. Only 4 Stars, because watch was not damaged in transit and padding was not appropriate for enclosed contents. Thank You. JR.
Too big and too small

I didn't need another watch, but it looked so good in pictures and so inexpensive, I thought why Not? But its very very BIG, clunky and heavy, and the chronometer dials are too small for a person over 40 to read.
I have 2 other Invicta watches of substantial size which are very fine.
This one might be ok if you have a very very large wrist/arm and you can read very very small dials. |
Not Impressed with Invicta Mens S1 Collection Rally Chrono 5075

The watch arrived with a flat battery - contacted Invicta in States - they said no dealerships available in UK to check watch - they suggested I contacted Amazon 'you try!!' - I asked Invicta what if I used a local dealer like Goldsmiths who I use for other brands but was told would affect warranty - and so I told them to hell with the warranty and went to Goldsmith's who sent it away - it cost me £40 - was it worth it? - not really for although watch's general timekeeping works ok I can't seem to get chrono to work - it's a very pretty watch but I have to advise that unless you are really desperate to have this model - leave it alone
I'm a positive person, but.......

The beautiful solid chunk of a watch was dead on arrival. The large attractive dial is very hard to read, and the sub-dials are far too small to be of any use. I dislike returning purchases, also don't like being harshly critical, but this one went back in a few hours.
I would be remiss if I did not give Amazon high marks for the return process. It was very easy, hassle-free, very satisfactory. |

Now I have to spend additional $ to buy a battery? These must have been sitting in the wearhouse for a very long time for the battery to go dead.
